The Social Development Bank was established in 1971. The Bank objectives were focused on social loans. The Bank is one of the important governmental pillars in the field of offering social development loans to less privileged citizens to empower and enable them to play an effective role in national development plans.

Over the years, SDB expanding its services to include other business beneficiaries’ branches, and for that, SDB issued a public tender seeking for a professional partner to develop the brand strategy and the new visual system. DIWAN was one of the participants and has won this competition because of the long experience and the solid understanding of the local culture.

We drew inspiration from the history of computing. In 1804, the Jacquard loom revolutionised the weaving industry. It used binary code patterns on interchangeable punch-cards to automate the weaving process, technology that directly influenced the first programmable computers.

Rebranding to Thredd marks a new era for our company as we begin the next phase of our growth… our new brand reflects our renewed focus on enabling our clients to create a more interconnected, accessible, and seamless payments ecosystem.
